The first prop of "Re:bonis" is finally finished! For the "name holders" of domestic and foreign staff who use the waste leather produced in the manufacturing process of professional chairs, it will be issued in October.

「Holder of waste leather name」は、当社が、創業以来“プロフェッショナルが惚れる椅子”を目指し、製造を続けてきた理美容椅子などを作る際に生じる端材などのレザーを用い、新たな価値を創造しようと「Re：bonis」プロジェクトメンバーの発案で製作しました。大阪市阿倍野区に工房を構え、理美容師向けなどの革小物を制作・販売する株式会社waji（本社：堺市中区／代表取締役：菅野 裕樹、以下「waji」）と協業し、企画・制作したもので、第一弾アイテムは、社員のSDGsの意識を高めることを目的として製作。創業100年を迎えた節目に、国内外全スタッフ約3,000人に順次配布予定です。 ※「廃棄レザー」・・・当社では、合成皮革を指します。

Therefore, leather processing as a livelihood of the "waji" staff, the usually unaccustomed leather processing carried out a hard struggle production. At the same time, the members of the "Re:bonis" project carefully explained the characteristics of the leather, exchanged views with each other, solved the problem, and finally completed the props. The fastidiousness of various craftsmen can be seen everywhere, and they have completed a single product as high-level as genuine leather. In addition, in this project, according to the needs of our customers, there are professional chairs in various colors, such as blue, green, brown, purple and so on. The color of the parts into an inconsistent design, people can not help but want to get the project.

|Re:bonis」プロジェクトメンバー 技術部 白井宏典＞一般的に上質な小物製品の素材には本革をよく使用しますが、当社端材は合成皮革であることから、「合成皮革」特有の性質に合わせた工夫が必要なことに加え、レザーを裁断した断面も丁寧に仕上げないと見た目が悪くなるなど、配慮が必要でした。本革加工のプロである「waji」とすり合わせを行い、合成皮革の特性を説明。普段協業をしないような企業と協力してアイテムをつくることで、本業に活かせる発見があり、微力ながら自分なりに、ソーシャルグッドなものを作ることができてとてもうれしく思います。＜株式会社waji 代表取締役社長 菅野裕樹氏＞合成皮革には「PVC（ウレタン）レザー」と「PU（塩ビ）レザー」の2種類があり、端材にはいずれも含まれているため、加工に苦労しました。何度も職人のスタッフと相談し、素材について研究を行い、改良を重ねては、プロジェクトメンバーのみなさんにチェックしていただくといった具合で、進めました。お互いモノづくりへのこだわりが強いため、各々の“職人魂”のようなものが共鳴し化学反応が起き、いつもと違ったワクワク感の中、手を抜くことなく仕上げることができたと実感しています。
